Paracosm is a 2D sidescrolling, pixel horror game where the player must face a shape-shifting blob of inky darkness after becoming locked in a gnarled manor. The player must face puzzles constructed by the evils lurking in the halls and escape to discover the true form of the dim world within.
As the first game I created with multiple other developers, I took this as a chance to learn and improve my communication and teamwork skills. Additionally, the development process helped me gain insight into how multiple departments can work together to create a polished product.Â
I developed it from April 2022 to June 2022 (8 weeks) using Unity with four other team members as a project for one of my university courses.
